  • Concerns are expressed in "I" language without attacking the character of others
  • Constructive solutions are considered to resolve the conflict for the benefit of all involved
  • A solution is selected with an agreement to review the outcomes of the solution at a future date

  • Stay calm and work to defuse situation
  • Keep yourself safe and call for help
  • Know your limits of physical intervention
  • Restrict unnecessary audiences
  • Give firm professional directives
  • Help reduce humiliation of participants
  SEE offers conflict resolution workshops which focus on the proactive benefit of creating caring learning communities which teach students skills to help de-escalate conflicts. Character goals are recognized in the promotion of positive learning communities and as a focus for behavioral goals. Time--90 minutes to 4 hours.
