July 2005

 
Representatives of the SASL board met in July, 2005 along Long Island Sound to enjoy a BBQ and make strategic progress for SASL. During the meeting, board co-chair Trish Kostiuk received a participation award for presenting a workshop about youth philanthropy at a New Haven Youth Development Conference in April.   Board members and host, Linda Chaffin, enjoyed the beach campfire to cook s’mores.

Connecticut's Service-Learning Showcase - May, 2005

Representatives of SASL's board attended Connecticut's Service-Learning Conference at Connecticut College on May 17, 2005. SASL board members participate with other students to finish a service project during Connecticut's Service-Learning Conference. Students compiled school supplies and wrote letters for US soldiers to deliver to students in Iraq.

Service-Learning Public Hearing Testimony - October, 2004

Two SASL board members participate in a statewide hearing in Hartford to promote the usefulness of service-learning (October 13, 2004).

SASL members were abound at Connecticut's Service-Learning Showcase held at Connecticut College on May 11, 2004.
