Strategic Planning SEE will work with a strategic planning team to complete a visioning and planning process in support of developing a plan for comprehensive character education. SEE's strategic planning model supports Character.org's 11 Principles of Effective Character Education and prepares schools to participate in the National Schools of Character program. Schools should be prepared to form a team with administrators, faculty, parents and students to complete a qualitative evaluation of current district/school practices as they relate to comprehensive character education. The team will prioritize its objectives and goals to create a four-year strategic plan. |
Program Implementation
SEE will work with a character education committee to monitor steps of a strategic plan. Benchmarks to achieve implementation of strategic plan will be reviewed and the plan will be re-affirmed or altered. SEE will provide connection to national resources and programs in character education that help meet goals of the strategic plan. SEE programs (Integrity Works!, Laws of Life, YES: Service-Learning, Golden Compass: Character-Based Decision-Making, Reasoning with Ethics) will be offered as best practices and supported through professional development workshops and technical assistance. |
